December 2007 sees the cinema launch of the 'Golden Compass', based on the first book of Philip Pullman's trilogy 'His Dark Materials' . Grant Macaskill asks the question, 'Has Pullman a case against God?'

Grant obtained his Ph.D. in Biblical studies at St Andrew's University and is now a Research and Teaching Fellow at St. Mary's college. He has studied the work in some depth and discusses it here at a public meeting in Dundee.
